Opening
Day Adventures in Tromsø(FREE
for all Summit Delegates!)
-
October
21st Starting 12:00 Noon
Tromsø
is the starting point for the Adventure Travel
World Summit-Europe, and Visit Tromsø
warmly welcomes you to their wonderful city!
Tromsø is located above the Polar Circle, and is one of the best
places in the world to spot the Northern Lights. The position
above the Polar Circle also provides months of nearly total darkness,
as the sun stays below the horizon. In the summer, the sun does
not go below the horizon, allowing the beautiful and glowing Midnight
Sun to be enjoyed by all.
All Adventure Travel World Summit – Europe delegates may
participate in one of the two adventure options on Tuesday,
October 21st starting at 12:00PM-3:30PM free of charge.
Each of the Adventure Day options include transportation and adventure
activity. Adventures are available on a “first in- first
served” basis.
Please meet at the Rica Hotel 30 minutes
prior to adventure departure.
Delegates may choose one or both of the
Opening Day Adventures in Tromsø.

Centre Polaria, and a trip to the Cable
Car.
A
polar experience centre runs
in conjunction with the Norwegian
Polar Institute. You can
watch Ivo Caprino’s
majestic panoramic film of
Svalbard and see the bearded
seals and Arctic fish species
in the many aquariums.

Ride the cable car up to
Storsteinen, which is 420
m above sea level, for
a breath-taking panoramic
view of Tromsø and the
surrounding area. The view
is so good that it has
to be seen to be believed!
Please note that if there is wind of
more than 20 m/s, the Cable Car cannot
