Air Travel
  The nearest international airport to Whistler is Vancouver International Airport (YVR). It is a two hour drive from Vancouver, and the ride is along a beautiful highway bordered by mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Details about arranged transportation between Vancouver and Whistler will be released to delegates before the Summit in October.

  Visas and Border Entry

US Citizens traveling by air will need passports to enter Canada.
ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada will be required to present a valid passport or U.S. Alien Registration Card, Form I-551. For more information, please consult the fact sheet from the U.S. Department of State at http://travel.state.gov/pdf/whti_fact4.pdf.

A number of countries are required to have a Canadian Visa. To find out if you are required to get a visa, please consult the country list.

If you need a Canadian Visa please apply as early as possible because Canada’s visa offices are very busy. Some countries require an invitation letter to get a visa. Check with your local Canadian Embassy or Consulate to find out your specific requirements. Click here for offices around the world.

  Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:
 
Citizens of Andorra, Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel (National Passport holders only), Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Papua New Guinea, Portugal, Republic of Korea, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, San Marino, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Spain, Swaziland, Sweden, Slovenia, Switzerland, United States, and Western Samoa.
Persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence.
British citizens and British Overseas Citizens who are re-admissible to the United Kingdom.
Citizens of British dependent territories who derive their citizenship through birth, descent, registration or naturalization in one of the British dependent territories of Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Islands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn, St. Helena or the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Persons holding a valid and subsisting Special Administrative Region passport issued by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
Persons holding passports or travel documents issued by the Holy See.
