Official ATWS-SA Visa Service for U.S.
Citizens
An entry
visa is not required for holders of passports
from many (but not all) European and all South
American countries for a stay of up to 90 days
(60 days in the case of Venezuela).
Entry visas are required for most citizens from
Africa, Middle East, Asia and Oceania. As a
matter of reciprocity, a visa is required for
citizens of North American countries.

Getting to the Summit Once
You’re in São Paulo
– Please Read Carefully –
Transportation:
Due to the
incredibly congested traffic in São Paulo, we
urge all delegates to
book their hotel
accommodations recommended on our site,
and rely on the
free
shuttle services that will be provided and
strongly recommended to get to the Summit.
This guidance is provided by local
transportation experts who point out, the
traffic can be extremely severe. Shuttles will
leave the hotels at 7:30AM each morning to
ensure a timely arrival at the event, where
breakfast will be served and networking will
take place.

it’s just 3,5 Km
to the
Convention
Center (Centro

Imigrantes), and
10-20 minutes
from the
recommended
hotels..

overseas will
always land in
GRU Airport. For
domestic flights
you’ll find

for both

Subway
The Imigrantes
Exposition Centre is located 850 m away from
Jabaquara Station (Blue Line).
Van
Van service will be
available connecting Jabaquara Station to the
Imigration Exposition Centre, each 30 minutes,
between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM, and 7:30 PM and 11 PM.

HEALTH
CONCERNS AND VACCINATIONS FOR TRAVELERS TO
BRAZILWith
some sensible planning before your departure,
simple precautions during your travels, you can
avoid most health problems in Brazil.
See your doctor (especially if you already have
some health problem) and make sure your
vaccinations are up to date.
Yellow fever vaccination is recommended (and is
required if you are coming from certain
countries to Brazil) for all lowland tropical
areas.
Malaria is present in the Amazon states (Acre,
Amapá, Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima,
Tocantins, western Maranhão and northern Mato
Grosso). The use of anti-malarials, which do not
offer complete protection and have side-effects,
should be weighed against the real risk of
exposure (which varies over time and by region).
Check with your doctor.
Make sure you have adequate health insurance and
travel with a basic health kit. Brazil has a
very good network of pharmacies.

The currency used in Brazil is called the Real
(R$) and the foreign exchange rate is published
daily in the newspapers and other specialized
sites. Foreign exchange can be handled in banks,
travel agencies and authorized hotels.
Travelers’ checks as well as currencies are
easily exchanged at these locations.
International credit cards are accepted at most
hotels, restaurants, stores, travel agencies,
car rental companies and other companies that
render services to tourists. A floating exchange
rate is used.
